On Sunday 2/6/2002, Speaker of Parliament, Nabih Berri, sponsored the foundation stone laying ceremony for the Governmental Building or the Palace in the town, and he also sponsored the opening ceremony of the Bint Jbeil Governmental Hospital building, in the presence of a group of ministers, representatives, personalities and activists.
